The number of internally displaced persons in Ukraine exceeds 1.5 million persons
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, as of September 25, 2015, the number of IDPs from the occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas amounts to 1 505 600 persons.
Thus, the Ukraine-controlled part of the Donetsk region accommodated the greatest number of IDs – 558 100 persons.
Ternopol region turned out to be least popular with IDPs – only 2700 persons moved there.
Kiev and Kiev region hosted as many as 153 400 IDPs.
